📝 Interview Transcript
SATHEE Team: Meet, congratulations on your outstanding CUET performance! Tell us about your background and how you started your CUET preparation.
Meet Kaur: Thank you so much! I come from a small village called Lehragaga in Sangrur district. My father is a farmer and my mother is a housewife. I studied in a government school where English medium wasn’t even available until 10th grade. When I learned about CUET, I knew this was my chance to study in a top college.
SATHEE Team: What were your biggest challenges during preparation?
Meet Kaur: There were many! First, the language barrier - I was more comfortable in Punjabi but CUET is in English. Second, lack of resources - we didn’t have good study materials or coaching centers in our village. Third, financial constraints - we couldn’t afford expensive coaching or study materials.
SATHEE Team: How did you overcome these challenges?
Meet Kaur: I started with SATHEE’s free online resources. Every day after helping with farm work, I would study for 4-5 hours. I formed a small study group with 3 other girls from my village. We would share one smartphone and take turns studying. For English, I started reading English newspapers and watching English news.
📚 Study Strategy
Daily Schedule:
- 5:00 AM - 7:00 AM: Mathematics practice
- 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM: School
- 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Farm work (helping family)
- 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Accountancy and Business Studies
- 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM: Economics and English practice
- 10:00 PM - 11:00 PM: Revision and problem-solving
Subject-wise Approach:
Accountancy: “I focused on understanding concepts rather than memorizing. I practiced every problem from NCERT twice and solved additional questions from SATHEE’s test series.”
Business Studies: “Made colorful charts and diagrams. I related business concepts to real-life examples from our village’s small businesses.”
Economics: “This was tough initially. I started with basic concepts and gradually built up. I used to discuss economic concepts with my father who understands market dynamics from farming experience.”
Mathematics: “Practice was key. I solved 10-15 problems daily and maintained a separate notebook for difficult problems.”
SATHEE Team: What role did SATHEE play in your preparation?
Meet Kaur: SATHEE was a game-changer! Their free mock tests helped me understand the exam pattern. The video lectures were in simple Hindi-English mix that I could understand. Most importantly, their mobile app worked even with slow internet connection, which was crucial for our village.
SATHEE Team: Any advice for students from similar backgrounds?

- Use free resources wisely - SATHEE, NCERT, and YouTube have everything you need
- Form study groups - Learning together makes difficult subjects easier
- Be consistent - Even 2 hours of focused study daily is better than 8 hours on weekends
