CUET Answer Key 2025
Note: Taking reference from CUET(UG) notification of 2025
The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the answer key for the examination after all exam sessions are completed. The answer key is released in two stages: Provisional Answer Key and Final Answer Key.
Types of Answer Keys
1. Provisional Answer Key
The provisional answer key is released first and is subject to challenges from candidates.

- Released within 7-10 days after exam completion
- Contains question papers and responses
- Open for challenges
- Available for all subjects and sessions

2. Final Answer Key
The final answer key is released after considering all valid challenges.
Key Features:
- Released after challenge period ends
- Incorporates corrections if challenges are valid
- Used for final result calculation
- Not open for further challenges

How to Download Answer Key

- Visit the official CUET website
- Click on “Answer Key” or “Provisional Answer Key” link
- Login using Application Number and Password/Date of Birth
- Your question paper will be displayed

Important Notes:

Score Calculation
Your final score is calculated based on:
Marking Scheme:
- Correct Answer: +5 marks
- Incorrect Answer: -1 mark (negative marking)
- Unattempted: 0 marks
Based on Final Answer Key:
- Only final answer key is used
- No manual checking or re-evaluation
- Computer-based calculation
- No individual rechecking requests accepted
Common Scenarios
Scenario 1: Answer Changed
If your challenged answer is accepted and changed:
- Your marks are recalculated
- Other candidates’ marks also recalculated
- Refund of challenge fee initiated
Scenario 2: Question Dropped
If a question is found to be ambiguous or has multiple correct answers:
- Marks awarded to ALL candidates
- No negative marking for that question
- Challenge fee refunded
Scenario 3: Challenge Rejected
If your challenge is not accepted:
- Original answer stands
- No refund of challenge fee
- No impact on your score
