CUET Exam
Eligibility

To apply for CUET UG, students must score at least 50% marks in their class 12 Boards (5% relaxation is provided to category students). All students of Indian nationality and students of NRI or OCI category may also apply. According to NTA, there is no upper age limit for students to complete the application form.

Candidate(s) who appears in subject(s) different than the one which s(he) passed in 12th standard will not be considered for counselling / admission and will stand rejected.

The candidates must attempt only those subjects (at least 3 subjects) in the examination as per the choice given in the Application Form. Therefore, they must exercise the choice of subjects very carefully. Attempting subjects different than choices given in the application form will invite disqualification from counselling / admission process.

Many admitting universities have special conditions (like upper age limit, mandatory subject eligibility for a specific program, gender specific preference, etc.) for admission as per respective university statute. It will be the responsibility of the candidate(s) to inquire about such special conditions from University of his/her interest before filling up the online application form for CUET (UG) 2024.

CUET 2025 Eligibility Criteria - Reservation policy
CUET is an entrance exam for admissions to Undergraduate courses in 250+ universities, including 44+ central universities. Each participating university (central) must follow standard norms of the CUET reservation policy set by the Government of India concerning intake capacity. Various state, private, and deemed universities will also follow their own CUET eligibility criteria - reservation policy, which is mentioned on the official university pages. Interested candidates can visit and check the same for their choice of universities.
Following is the CUET reservation policy to be followed by all the central universities:

To avail of the reservation benefit based on caste (or any other category as specified), a candidate must be able to produce valid documents/certificates to support their claims. The official announcement for CUET (UG) 2025 will include detailed information and proforma for category certificates.
Candidates have to ensure two important things about the certificate for their CUET 2025 eligibility criteria - reservation policy (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD):
The certificate must have been issued on or after the 1st of March 2025. If students don’t have the certificate, they can submit a declaration. The proforma for the declaration will be provided in Annexure II of the CUET information bulletin, which will be released along with the CUET form. Candidates are advised to thoroughly review the eligibility criteria for CUET before filling out the CUET form.
