CUET (UG) Examination Notification 2024

The National Testing Agency has been mandated by the Ministry of Education and UGC to conduct the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission into Undergraduate Programmes in Central Universities under the Ministry of Education, and other participating Universities / Institutions / Organizations / Autonomous Colleges.

The CUET (UG) - 2024 will be conducted in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

The CUET (UG) – 2024 is being offered in 380 cities including 26 cities outside India (Annexure 2). For Papers, Scheme, Timing, eligibility, and other information, candidates are requested to please check the Information Bulletin of CUET (UG) – 2024 available on the website: https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/ For CUET (UG) – 2024, the following is the scheme of examination:

Eligibility

  1. To apply for CUET UG, students must score at least 50% marks in their class 12 Boards (5% relaxation is provided to category students). All students of Indian nationality and students of NRI or OCI category may also apply. According to NTA, there is no upper age limit for students to complete the application form

  2. Candidate(s) who appears in subject(s) different than the one which s(he) passed in 12th standard will not be considered for counselling / admission and will stand rejected.

  3. The candidates must attempt only those subjects (at least 3 subjects) in the examination as per the choice given in the Application Form. Therefore, they must exercise the choice of subjects very carefully. Attempting subjects different than choices given in the application form will invite disqualification from counselling / admission process.

  4. Many admitting universities have special conditions (like upper age limit, mandatory subject eligibility for a specific program, gender specific preference, etc.) for admission as per respective university statute. It will be the responsibility of the candidate(s) to inquire about such special conditions from University of his/her interest before filling up the online application form for CUET (UG) 2024.

How to Fill CUET (UG) 2024 Online Form:

  1. The fee can be submitted only online through Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI. Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable from the candidate (in addition to the examination fee) by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator.

  2. The Confirmation Page of the online Application Form will be generated only after the successful payment of the fee by the Candidate.

  3. Register for the Online Application Form and note down the system- generated Application Number. The candidate should supply the required details while filling the Online Application Form and is also required to create a PASSWORD choose Security Question and enter his/her Answer.

  4. After successful submission of the personal details, an Application number will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form and will also be required for all future reference/correspondence. For subsequent logins, the candidate will be able to login directly with the respective system generated Application Number and created Password.

  5. The Candidates can log in with the system-generated Application Number and pre-created Password for completing the Application Form including filling up personal details, providing the details of educational qualification,university/ programme selection, test paper details, choosing the Examination Cities, and uploading the images and documents (if any).

  6. The Candidates can log in with the system-generated Application Number and pre-created Password for completing the Application Form including filling up personal details, providing the details of educational qualification,university/ programme selection, test paper details, choosing the Examination Cities, and uploading the images and documents (if any) Upload Scanned Images of the Candidate’s Photograph and Signature.

i. The recent photograph should be either in colour or black and white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background. ii. The scanned photograph and signature should be in JPG/JPEG format (clearly legible). iii. The size of the scanned photograph should be between 10 kb to 200 kb (clearly visible). iv. The size of the scanned signature should be between 04 kb to 30 kb (clearly legible). v. PwD Certificate.

  1. Please check your photograph and signature before submission of the Application Form.

  2. After completing Step 1 and Step 2, the candidates have to pay the requisite examination fee. The fee can be submitted only online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI. Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable to the candidate (in addition to the examination fee) by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator.

  3. The Confirmation Page of the online Application Form will be generated only after successful payment by the Candidate. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of the fee, then the candidate may have to approach the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway (in the helpline number and e-mail given in the Information Bulletin) to ensure the successful payment or to obtain the refund of duplicate/multiple payments].

  4. Download, save, and print a copy of the Confirmation Page of the Application Form (which would be downloadable only after the successful remittance of the fee) for future reference.

  5. All 3 Steps can be done together or at separate timings. The submission of the Application of a candidate could be considered as successful and his/her candidature would be confirmed only on the successful transaction/receipt of the prescribed application fee from him/her.
